OmogeMuRa: I started OmogeMuRa because I wanted a portfolio of work to apply to graduate school in America. My best friend, Edwin Okolo, and I started it together and we just wanted to opportunity to talk and give our take on fashion.
I am motivated by my passion for writing and my love for fashion. Sounds very cliche but I really do love to write and talk about fashion and beauty.
St. Eve Magazine: If you were to start all over again, what would you do differently?
OmogeMuRa: Nothing. I’m happy the way things turned out.
St. Eve Magazine: Your personal style in three words?
OmogeMuRa: Fun, Casual, and Inspired.
St. Eve Magazine: What should every woman own?
OmogeMuRa: A pair of black stilettos. They transform any outfit into greatness.
St. Eve Magazine: What are your three fashion essentials?
OmogeMuRa: My black ballet flats (for times my legs hurt from wearing heels all day), my watch (without it, my arm feels empty) and my H&M bag to help me carry everything I need.
St. Eve Magazine: What piece of clothing do you spend your money on the most? Why?
OmogeMuRa: Probably shoes and that’s because I love them so so much.
St. Eve Magazine: What type of clothing do you wear when you are angry and what colors do you choose to wear when you are happy?
OmogeMuRa: When I’m happy or angry, I chose to wear all black. Black is such a powerful color and it’s speaks to me.
St. Eve Magazine: Would you dress the same as you do in your country if you went to America for a visit?
OmogeMuRa: Yes I would but I would layer more because of the weather. I love me some nice camel coats.
St. Eve Magazine: What would you wear to meet royalty or the President of Nigeria?
OmogeMuRa: A nice dress. A black dress. With some simple shoes and nice jewelry.
St. Eve Magazine: If you could give one piece of style advice, what would it be?
OmogeMuRa: Always be yourself and be comfortable. No point dressing up if you don’t like what you are wearing. You have to feel awesome in whatever you are wearing.
