Tragedy, Tinubu loses First Son – Condolences from Buhari, Dogara, Atiku, and other leaders

The first son of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been reported dead.

Leaders “tweeting” their condolences on death of Tinubu’s son

Ajomale wrote: It’s with regrets that I inform you of the demise of Mr. Jide Tinubu, the Son of Our dear and esteemed Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” the statement said.

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, has commiserated with the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu over the death of his son, Jide. “I commiserate with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu over the sudden death of his son, Jide.May God console the Asiwaju Tinubu’s family & may his soul RIP,” the tweet reads.

Former President, Goodluck Jonathan has reacted to the death of Jide Tinubu, first son of a national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu. “My deepest sympathies to asiwaju and family on the great loss you have suffered. May God grant your son Jide repose in His Bosom. GEJ,” the tweet reads.

The statement, however did not provide details and the circumstance under which he died. However, ‎a family source said he died in London after battling with an undisclosed illness. The source said that his father and other members of the family had been very anxious about his health.

Late Jide is a law graduate of the University of Liverpool, England. He obtained a Masters degree in Maritime Law from the University of London and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1999. The late lawyer had served as Promoter of TSL Limited and also worked in the Legal Department of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited from January 2000 to September 2001. Prior to this, he had brief stints with Cargo Maritime, Paris, France, a firm of shipbrokers that specialize in petroleum product tankers, and Ocean and Oil Services Ltd.

Asiwaju’s spokesperson, Mr Tunde Rahman could not be reached on the telephone for his reactions. Other members of the family would also not comment.
