The popular Ndigbo group, Ohaneze led by prof Nze Ozichukwu Inugurated Excos for the ndigbo Lagos chapter for four years tenure which started today, 17th of 2022 and will elapse on June 2026 for another new excos.
Those inaugurated are;
1, Chief Sunday Ossia for president
2, Mrs Jane Chioma Okoro for women leader
3, Mr Robot Obasi for secetary
4, Bar Lawrence Kelechim for Legal Adviser
inauguration ceremony was performed by the National Executives members comprised of the three-man committee led by prof Nze Ozichukwu chairman Eletroal panel and Enugu representatives, Mr Okey paul president representing south-south, south-east and prince Azu Enweremadu member electoral committee.
The ceremony took place at six diamond hotel Opebi Ikeja on the 17th of June 2022 among attendants are many Eze and ohaneze members in Lagos who came out for the inauguration ceremony of their newly elected leaders.
Chief Sunday Osai emerged as the President of the Lagos State Chapter of the Ohaneze Ndigbo after he polled 380 votes to defeat his closest contender, Chief Ernest Ozonweke in an election contested by four aspirants on Wednesday in Lagos.
Chief Sunday Ossia giving his acceptance speech pledged peace among ohaneze members, he said his major aim is to unite Igbos in Lagos and in the southwest.
