The event took place at office of commissioner, ministry of Sports & youth development Umuahia.
In an address, the commissioner for sports & youth development, Sir Nwaobilor Ananaba, said the board members where carefully picked by his excellency, Governor Alex Otti (OFR), based on their experience in football management.
He charged the board members to abide by the terms of their appointment, and work with the club chairmen closely through open and regular communication, bereft of conflicts and ensure effective governance to achieve sucess in line with Governor Alex Otti’s desire of building a new Abia.
High point of the event was the taking of oath of office by the appointees, and signing and of their appointment letters.
Those present at the event, include, Deputy Chief of Staff and Special Adviser to the Governor on sports, Mr Chinedu Ekeke, Directors from the ministry of sports and youth development, friends and well wishers of the appointees.
