Adedeji Abidemi may appear like your regular guy but the multi-talented Fashionista is a revered Stylist and image Consultant.
He is the brain behind thestyletrain.com, a contemporary on-line fashion and lifestyle magazine.
Abidemi also runs StyleByBie, his pet brand that is into fashion styling, image consulting and wardrobe management. His team has styled powerful vocalist, Yemi Alade, screen goddess, Moet Abebe, TV host,Joseph Benjamin and London based Nigerian female rapper, Tipsy among countless others.
In this conversation, he shares his inspiration, style and take on men who wear make up, among other issues.
St.Eve Magazine: What/Who inspired the creation of thestyletrain.com and what motivates you to keep going during the good and bad times?
Adedeji Abidemi: thestyletrain.com was inspired by men’s wear blogger Steve Onoja, my motivation comes from pairing outfits together and people give wonderful remarks about the looks.
St.Eve Magazine: If you were to start all over again, what would you do differently?
Adedeji Abidemi: If I was to start all over again, I probably will start my fashion journey from university rather than waiting for graduation.
St.Eve Magazine: Your fans know you to be a Fashion blogger, Stylist extraordinaire and image consultant. What other hidden talent do you have?
Adedeji Abidemi: Apart from being a stylist, consultant and blogger I am also a seasonal actor.
St.Eve Magazine: What’s your secret style weapon?
Adedeji Abidemi: My secret style weapon will be vintage pieces
St.Eve Magazine: What do you think of men who wear make-up?
Adedeji Abidemi: Men that wear makeup is a no situation for me.
St.Eve Magazine: What would you wear to a formal dinner?
Adedeji Abidemi: To a formal dinner, I will probably go for a double-breasted blazer.
St.Eve Magazine: What items of men clothing do people not wear anymore that you would like to try on or you still wear every now and then?
Adedeji Abidemi: I really wish I could try the butt cut trousers again.
St.Eve Magazine: If you had to start your wardrobe from scratch, what 5 things would you go buy straight away?
Adedeji Abidemi: Starting my wardrobe from the scratch, I will pick a ripped denim, white sleeves, wide brim hat, sandals and sizable man bag.
St.Eve Magazine: How would a day pan out for you before you can describe it as being perfect?
Adedeji Abidemi: My perfect day means waking up in the morning, getting calls from clients, sourcing outfits, fit them and still fine time for my blog.
St.Eve Magazine: What one piece of advice would you give a friend who is about to start a fashion blog?
Adedeji Abidemi: one major advice for anybody that wants to start blogging is that, don’t expect money in the nearest future, do it for the passion.
