Nigerian singer, Oluwatobiloba Anidugbe, better known as Kizz Daniel has been released from the custody of the Tanzanian police as confirmed by Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa.
The internet went agog on Monday after reports emerged that the 28-year-old was arrested by security agents in the East African country.
It was reported that the Buga singer was arrested for failing to perform at the Warehouse, Old Nextdoor Arena in Tanzania, on Sunday night, as part of his Afro Classic World Tour.
Kizz Daniel’s absence at the concert venue stirred anger and saw fans damaging part of the concert arena.
As a result, the organisers had Kizz Daniel and some of his crew members arrested by policemen from their hotel as a result of the no-show,
Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has, however, confirmed in a statement on Monday night, via Twitter, that the singer has been freed from the custody of the Tanzanian police.

In an Instagram live session with media personality, Daddy Freeze, the show promoter said the ‘Buga’ crooner refused to perform because the gold chain in his luggage was missing.
According to him, the airline did not bring Kizz Daniel’s bag and he refused to wear any other thing to perform.
The promoter claimed he spent nothing less than three hundred thousand dollars on the show, adding that the singer is still locked up in Tanzania police custody.
He said: “Kizz Daniel is still locked up at the station, he said the airline did not bring his bag that had his gold chain that’s why he cannot perform.
“Although he had another gold chain on his neck. I spent nothing less than $300,000 on that show. I had the contract with Paulo to bring Kizz Daniel for the show.
“Paulo cried all night calling from America begging Kizz Daniel to perform at the show but he refused.”
